BEFORE RETURNING AUDIO/VIDEO PRODUCTS, PLEASE DO THE FOLLOWING: Cassette Care Instructions BEFORE playing, make sure your cassette is rewound. Also, check the cassette window for slack or loosely wound tape. If it is noticeable, turn the inside wheels with a pen or pencil either direction until the slack is gone so that jamming won’t occur. If using a battery-powered player, make sure your batteries are fully charged. Avoid touching the tape surface itself. DURING play, if you hear sound variations (such as dragging or high speed) or if the tape sticks (stopping in the middle of play), immediately stop your cassette and carefully remove it. This can be an indication of either weak batteries or the tape may be wound too tightly. Tap the flat side of the cassette firmly on a hard surface and try playing it again. AFTER playing, remove your cassette from the tape player to avoid stretching. Store in its case, on its edge in a comfortable temperature, keeping it out of heat and sunlight. Keep your tape player clean by using a retail head cleaner regularly. Be sure to follow the instructions given on the cleaner. Video Care Instructions BEFORE playing, examine the plastic case for chips or breaks. Also, make sure the video is rewound. DURING play, if you experience any problems such as losing vertical hold (jumping lines), an unsteady picture, abnormal audio sound, etc., adjust the tracking on your VCR (you should be able to see a knob in your VCR panel labeled tracking). Also check the power sources. Most problems are related to the VCR itself so, if the problem is still not resolved, you may want to contact a VCR repair technician for service information. AFTER playing, rewind the video and remove it from your VCR. Store the video in a comfortable temperature, keeping it out of heat and sunlight. Keep your VCR clean by using a retail VCR cleaner regularly. Follow the instructions on the cleaner. |
